Update: Police release name of driver killed in East El Paso collision Tuesday morning
June 24 Update: El Paso Police have released the identity of the man killed as a result of a single-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning.
He has been identified as 26-year-old Alexander Repass of El Paso.
Police say the man, whose name has not been released, was driving east in the 11400 block of Vista Del Sol in a 2011 Cadillac CTS at about 1:47 a.m.
The driver failed to negotiate the curve and lost control of his vehicle, striking a fence and a bus stop bench.
The vehicle then rolled over and came to rest in the 1500 block of George Dieter.
The driver died at the scene.
Police say the investigation determined that the driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and it is unknown at this time if speed or alcohol were factors in the collision.
This is the 25th fatality of 2015 compared to 22 in 2014.

Original Story: One person is dead after a single-vehicle car crash in east El Paso early Tuesday morning.
It happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of George Dieter and Vista Del Sol.
A black Cadillac driven by an unidentified driver went off the road and ended up on the property of the Paso Del Norte Academy Charter High School.
Emergency dispatch confirmed with ABC-7 the driver died at the scene, no one else was in the vehicle.
Vista Del Sol west of George Dieter was closed for about six hours while Special Traffic Investigators cleared the area.
Police have not said if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
