German shepherd on the loos on Border Highway

a german shepherd. the pooch was loose on the eastbound lanes of loop 375 this morning. there were some close calls as the dog made it’s way between paisano and fonseca. it seemed to understand the danger of the passing cars as it stuck to the shoulder, perching itself on the concrete barrier to check the traffic in the other direction. at one point– an el paso police unit was following behind the dog– but as soon as the car got close– the dog bolted. animal control also caught up with it, but no luck. the dog eventaully made its way across the highway and toward delta drive. while we’re on the subject of dogs, el paso
