What you can and can’t take to Cruz Azul, Xolos de Tijuana game tonight at Sun Bowl
July 8 Update: The UTEP Office of Special Events tells ABC-7 that umbrellas are not allowed at tonight’s game but ponchos and trash bags (to cover yourself) will be allowed due to weather.
What else isn’t allowed: Similar to the UTEP’s Football games, no outside food, glass containers, coolers, ice chests, laser pens/pointers, fireworks, pets, balls, large signs, weapons, artificial noisemakers, car seats or baby carrier (must have ticket for car seat or baby carrier if they want to bring in), strollers, or drones.
Parking Lot / Road closures
DAWSON ROAD/LOT P-5 – will be closed to Students, Staff and Faculty on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 beginning at 6:00 a.m. and will reopen on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 6:00 a.m.
P-7 – Press Box Lot – will be closed to Students, Staff and Faculty on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 beginning at 6:00 a.m. and will reopen on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 6:00 a.m. P-9 – North West portion of lot – will be closed to Students, Staff and Faculty on Tuesday,July 7, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 6:00 a.m. P-5 – permit holders will be directed to park in the Sun Bowl Parking Garage via the north entrance of the garage. Vehicles displaying P-5 permits will be honored in the parking garage for the duration of the lot closure. P-7 permit holders may park in P-6. P-9 permit holders may use available spaces in P-8 and the available portions of lot P-9. Permit holders who normally park or drive in these areas are encouraged to plan ahead to find alternative routes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your cooperation.
