Police arrest 100 in two-week Northeast El Paso operation
The El Paso Police Department announced Thursday that they have made 100 arrests in Northeast El Paso from Aug. 10-22.
Police have increased patrols and “proactive measures” were taken using a marked police presence.
Patrols were increased in Northeast El Paso due to a recent upsurge in violent crime there.
Results of Two-Week Operation
832 subject (persons) checks 384 vehicle checks 40 felony arrests
12 Class A misdemeanor arrests 9 Class B misdemeanor arrests 41 Class C misdemeanor arrests 92 non-hazardous traffic citations issued 44 hazardous traffic citations issued 40 Class C citations issued
Police are asking El Pasoans to report crimes or suspicious activity.
They also are asking establishments should be cognizant of activities occurring on their premises, adhere to licensing and permit regulations under which they operate, and beware of ramifications for failing to do so.
