Update: Man drives off road along Transmountain
UPDATE: Sheriff’s Deputies say the man rescued was stranded for more than 10 hours before being rescued.
Officials say the man, Daniel Francisco Moraga, crashed his truck in the canyon along Transmountain Road around 11:30 Friday night. Crews did not arrived on scene until after 9 the following morning.
Special rescue crews were called Saturday to rescue a man who drove his truck off the road along Transmountain.
Sheriff deputies shut down eastbound lanes on I-10 Saturday morning as rescue units worked to retrieve the man.
Authorities have not released his identity, however they did say he was between the age of 35 and 40.
He suffered serious injuries from the crash and was rushed to a local hospital.
