City to present best practices for trap-neuter-release program, discuss benefits
In its effort to help control the cat population in the community, the city’s Animal Services department has set up a public presentation on its trap-neuter-release program.
El Paso Animal Services has teamed up with Sun City Cats and Alley Cat Allies, a national advocacy group.
The group will talk about the benefits of trapping, neutering and releasing, as well showing the public how to properly use the traps. Animal services officials say the program is a better alternative than euthanasia when it comes to controlling the cat population.
The presentation will begin at 6 p.m. tonight inside at the Philanthropy Theatre inside the Plaza Theatre at 125 Pioneer Plaza
