Operation Kidsafe helps Borderland families

More than 2,000 children are reported missing every day in the United States an Operation Kidsafe held a free even to help reduce that number.

The operation began at 8 a.m. and ended at noon on Saturday.

Families with children above the age of one were invited out to Sisbarro Buick GMC in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Every family was given free child safety kits, which included digital fingerprints and photographs of their children.

They also provided tips to help families create a safety action plan.
