Police investigate stabbing in south-central El Paso

Two people are in the hospital after a stabbing on the 100 block of South Boone Street in south-central El Paso, across from Washington Park.

Officers scoured the park with flashlights for clues. The investigation extended as far as the El Paso Zoo after reports that a suspect ended up inside.

Police did not confirm that information, but a police car and fire department truck were parked in front of the zoo.

Emergency dispatch confirmed two people were stabbed, including a woman who was taken in critical condition to University Medical Center. The second victim was taken to Las Palmas Medical Center.

As of late Monday morning, police did not release any information any arrests.
