UPDATE: Former Irvin teacher guilty of improper relations with student

A former Irvin High School teacher has pleaded guilty to an improper relationship between an educator and student.

Cecilia Schlesinger, 46, was arrested in 2014 after she was accused of having a sexual relationship with one of her male students.

The former theater teacher also pleaded guilty to six counts of possession of child pornography.

She was sentenced to three years in prison for improper relationship between educator and student, and another three years for possession of child pornography.

Her terms will run concurrently, which means she will serve a total of three years.

Schlesinger was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
