The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to open May 6

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema announced Thursday that it’s latest theater expansion will open to the public on Friday, May 6. The theater will open with Marvel Comics’ “Captain America: Civil War”.

This location is the company’s first in El Paso. It is located at 250 East Montecillo Drive at the corner of Montecillo Dr. and N. Mesa St.

“We are so excited to be finally opening Alamo Montecillo, right in time for the summer blockbuster movie season,” said Neil Billingsley-Michaelsen, president and CEO of Triple Tap Ventures LLC, the owner and operator of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema location in El Paso.

“El Paso has been so welcoming to us and we are excited to bring our unique movie going experience to this great city.”

Richard Aguilar of EPT Land Communities said, “We are excited to welcome the Alamo Drafthouse to Montecillo. It is projects such as these that continue to improve the quality of life in El Paso. Businesses like Alamo Drafthouse make El Paso more competitive when families are looking at where to live and when companies are looking to relocate to our city.”

Tickets are also on sale for the Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo’s soft opening training days from Monday, April 25 through Wednesday, May 4. During this time food and non-alcoholic beverages will be discounted 50%.
