Cowboys’ top draft pick gets social media lesson from bedmate
The Dallas Cowboys’ new running back, Ezekiel Elliott, got a quick lesson on the ubiquity of social media. The sports gossip website TerezOwens.com shows a picture of a man who appears to be the top draft pick, seemingly fast asleep in bed with a young lady identified as “Becky.” The picture came from Becky’s Snapchat account.
Becky looms in the foreground making a smooching motion with her lips while a shirtless Elliott, mostly covered by a sheet, appears to slumber behind her. Text displayed across the image says, “Dallas Cowboys (sic) newest running back Ezekiel Elliott” followed by three emoticons with hearts for eyes.
It’s unclear when the picture was taken. It does not depict sexual activity, although it appears to suggest something may have recently taken place. It quickly went viral via Twitter and national sports talk radio.
Last year, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman had a similar episode, when a woman tweeted a picture of him asleep in bed behind her. He had a longtime girlfriend at the time. A quick backlash against the poster by Patriot fans led her to delete her account. So far “Becky” appears not to have been identified by her full name.
