Man accused of killing uncle arrested in EP County, awaiting extradition to N.M.

The man accused of shooting and killing his uncle over the weekend turned himself in to police in Anthony, Texas Monday night.

Jacob Soliz, 36, is currently being held at the El Paso County Detention Center. He is awaiting extradition to Dona Ana County.

Soliz is charged with an open count of Murder. Saturday, Soliz allegedly shot his uncle, 49-year-old Roberto Soliz, several times at the home they shared on the 100 block of Rosario in La Mesa.

Witnesses told investigators the two men were involved in a dispute in the days leading up to the shooting.
