deadly crash on i-10. but one thing is certain … for our viewers … it’s another reminder to slow down and drive safely. here’s rick cabrera with today’s abc-7 listens. horrific and tragic! two words that perfectly describe what took place monday on i-10 near sunland park mall. we saw an 18- wheeler catch fire … and when the smoke cleared we learned two women in a car had died. clarissa was nearby and shared the following comments on the k-v-i-a facebook page. “how about all drivers not involved, stay in their vehicles. “i’m about five cars away from the accident and everyone is getting out and taking pictures! “some are eve strolling over there to get a better look! “seriously people, there are injured people needing assistance!” clarissa i’d lik to believe some of those people out of their cars were in fact assisting. i had one friend who drive buy and while worried for the safety of those involved … he said the fire didn’t erupt until after he had passed by. jenny has some advice for all the drivers. “when are people going to be more careful and have respect out on the roads? no speeding, tailgating, and cutting off people. and from david … “may god grant wisdom to el paso motorist to cease with the stupid and dangerous driving habits!!” danny meanwhile … still appeared to be in shock when he posted this comment. “this is absolutely horrible. this is probably the worst accident i have seen here. “open you eyes el paso!” we did get a few complaints about i-10 being closed for 19 hours in the aftermath … as police investigated and cleaned up the scene … but most people understood the wait pales in comparison to the lost of life. “tw people didn’t make it home to their loved ones. be safe out there people. everybody needs to know that it can happen to you! “may they rip. my prayers to their loved ones.” paula … we share that same sentiment. rick cabrera.
