Bill Clinton stops by Las Cruces coffee house. What did he order?

What did former president Bill Clinton order when he stopped by a Las Cruces coffee shop Thursday afternoon?

The ABC-7 New Mexico Mobile Newsroom crew spoke with the barista who took Clinton’s order at Milagro Coffee & Espresso. “I made a smoothie for him,” James Rivera said. “He got a triple berry.”

Rivera described a surprised group of customers eager to speak with a man once known as the leader of the free world. “A lot of people crowded around him,” Rivera told an ABC-7 photographer. “I was a pretty interesting experience.”

The Las Cruces barista went on to say Clinton was in the shop for a little more than half an hour, saying Clinton seemed like a nice guy. When asked if Rivera was able to ask the former President any questions, Rivera said, “Just his order. No. Nothing personal or political.”

After his stop at Milagro, Clinton boarded a private jet at the Las Cruces International Airport and left for Redding, California. He’s scheduled to speak at another rally Thursday evening in a push to convince voters to choose his wife Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination. She faces Sen. Bernie Sanders who visited Vado, NM last month.
