Amusan clinches 2nd in 100M

2 all americans up in eugene oregon. the freshman tobi amusan going up against the nations best in the 100 meter hurdles. i think ill let the highlights do all the talking for her performance. and they’re off! amusan is in lane 1 at the top of your screen. and this is something you don’t see often– not 1….but 2 runners fall in the race! but watch amusan … in a tight finish she clinches second place with a time of 12-79 and is the national runner up! kentuckys jasmine camaco-quinn took first with a time of 12 54. congrats!! that’s one marked off the list– so what about heptathlete lucia mokrasova? also on the verge of becoming a first team all american but she would have some ground to make up. she started the day in 9th place– and here she is in the long jump as she would tally a jump of 18.6 feet! so on to the javelin throw. she did a little better here as she heaved it nearly 124 feet for 630 points! she wrapped up the meet with the 800 meter run with a time of 2:29.19 for 703 points! so overall mokrasova finished in 13th with a point total of 5,569– good enough for second team all american!!! congrats to both women on a tremendous season!
