Carlsbad Caverns Closed for Obama’s visit

and the first family will be paying a visit to carlsbad caverns national park. that’s where we find abc- 7’s josie ortegon. she’s live from our new mexico mobile newsroom with more: abc-7’s josie ortegon is live from our new mexico mobile newsroom. josie? meanwhile, the park has adjusted their schedule to accommodate the first family. they closed their gates about an hour ago. visitors already inside will be able to stay until rangers shut down the park at 1. that’s around the time president obama is expected to fly into the roswell international air center from washington d.c. from there, he’ll head here–where he’s expected to tour the caverns. we were able to go inside and talk to visitors and park rangers just before they closed their gates: “it’s been a fabulous week. it’ been electric with the energy. the white house staff is here. the secret service is here. we have additional national park service personnel who are here to help us and it’s just been fabulous.” president obama and the first family will fly out of roswell around five this afternoon. they’ll then continue their national parks celebration and fly out to yosemite national park in california. live in carslbad, with our nmmn, jo, abc7. the president’s visit coincides
