thunderstorm activity through the weekend and possibly monday. as we approach midweek, high pressure aloft will strengthen overhead area and lead to a warming trend with less thunderstorms in the area. triple digit heat will disappear the next few days before returning toward the end of next week. at least 3 people were taken to the hospital after a rollover this morning in downtown el paso. this happened at yandell and el paso street around 6-30 this morning. el paso police at the scene wouldn’t give us details but witnesses tell abc-7 a car ran a red light at the intersection of yandell and el paso streets and hit a pickup truck causing it to roll over. their conditions of the 3 people involved are not known at this time. authorities in west virginia, now confirming an additional three deaths due to massive flooding. powerful storms, heavy rainfall and devastating floods have killed at least 26 people in the region since thursday. among those killed, a 4- year-old boy who was washed away by fast-moving floodwaters near his home. nearly 18 thousand people were without power this morning. west virginia’s governor activated 200 national guard members, who are working around the clock to rescue people stranded in their homes and cars. investigators are working to find out what caused a gunman to shoot 2 people at a non profit dance studio in fort worth texas. officers found one of the victims dead outside the studio, and several people were transported to hospitals – one of whom died from his injuries. it’s unclear what time the shooting happened. police say homicide detectives are still on the scene. no word yet if any arrests have been made. again as of now there’s been only 2 reported deaths. officials have not confirmed how many people injured. earlier in this newscast we said 70 people, we meant the shooting happened outside studio 74. the shockwaves being felt around the world after britain’s stunning decision to leave the european union.. but this morning.. there’s a new battle… a petion calling for a second vote– a do-over– and it already has nearly a million signatures.. abc’s lama hasan is in london with the latest this morning – the brexit vote fallout triggering a tsunami of emergency meetings between the founding members of the eu taking place in berlin about what to do next exiting the eu is complicated – and could take 2 years to formalise an agreement. britain saying there’s no rush to leave. sot boris johnson ”in voting to leave the eu, it is vital to stress there is no need for haste” but the eu wants britain to the market is all off. britain will have to look at its trade deals that are in place right now. mexican authorities are working to find out the cause of a deadly bus crash outside of juarez. it happened near villa ahumada at around 5-30 friday morning. the crash left 10 people dead and 27 others are injured. villa ahumada is less than 2-hours from el paso. from the video you can see that the damage to the bus indicates that the bus slammed into the back of a cargo truck. we’re told most of the passengers were from torreon, cohuila. authorities have not released the identity of the passengers who were killed. we’re still working to learn more about the fort bliss soldiers accused of trying to smuggle two mexican citizens across the border last weekend. marco nava junior and joseph cleveland were caught at the falfurrias border patrol checkpoint on saturday on their way to houston. one of the soldiers allegedly told investigators it’s not the first time he’s done it — and more soldiers at fort bliss are involved. investigative reporter sharyl attkisson out of washington first reported the arrests of nava and cleveland. she reported that they are members of the 377th transportation company, which maintains and operates heavy transport trucks. a fort bliss spokesman promised more info on the soldiers yesterday afternoon … but we were later told not to expect anything back until possibly monday. we also asked for a statement from the c-b-p rio grande sector headquarters … they said the statemen is forthcoming, but still awaiting clearance by homeland security before it can be released. the abraham chavez theatre downtown is getting a makeover. only on abc-seven… we went to see the conditions of the building. in this video, you can see damage to the walls and the roof. we spoke with destination el paso general manager bryan crowe. he’s says much of the discoloration on the roof is not because of water damage — but because of asbestos. because of that, workers had to peel off the surface of the roof to add a new drain. a full restoration is planned as part of the transformation of the new mexican american culture center.: “everything from things that ar back of house and support areas that you cant see to carpet and seating and wall surfaces and restroom improvement, concession area improvements, it is an entire renovation of the facility is what is being discussed, ” there is no date set as the when the renovation will begin. organizers are hoping to eliminate the stigma surrounding medical cannibas. yesterday las cruces hosted a medical cannibas expo. patients from all over the state of new mexico say they are hoping to find an alternative to pain killers and prescription drugs. organizers say the expo is meant to help educate people about the benefits of medical marijuana. it’s the third of its kind in the state and the first in las cruces. consultants helped first timers apply for their medical cannabis card. experiencing a backlog in applications — and organizers are working to improve the wait. officials say a church in las cruces is being vandalized every thursday since the beginning of the month. and now the catholic diocese of las cruces is asking for help. the vandalizm is happening at the san pedro mission church in la mesa. portions of the building have been destroyed including the altar. the released to the public. the colorado department of public safety made that announcement friday. the aurora movie theater shooter was transferred to an out-of-state facility in january after being assaulted by another inmate. some argued not informing the public of holmes’ location violated victims’ rights, but a motion failed on a 3-3 vote. holmes is currently serving a life sentence for the shooting during the dark knight rises premier. he killed 12-people and injured 53-others. a new c-d-c report reveals how much damage the flint water cris has effected kids. it found during the time the city used the flint river for water, kids younger than six were 46- percent more likely to have dangerous blood lead levels. the c-d-c reviewed blood lead level tests for more than seven thousand children six and younger to reach its conclusion. health experts say no safe blood level in children has been identified — and exposure can have an effect on every system in the body. 49 flags for 49 days..in honor of those who lost their lives during the orlando terror attack. on friday… governor rick scott directed 49 florida state flags to be placed in front of the florida historic capitol in tallahassee for 49 days. under each flag displays the name, age and photo of every victim. sunday will mark two weeks since a gunman opened fire inside of the pulse night club in orlando …killing 49 and injuring 53. a popular ride share app has reached the other side of the borderland. uber is now available in juarez… but not everyone is ready to use it. some think it will be an uphill battle for the service to overcome the dominance of the taxi industry. others we spoke with say random kidnappings make them leery of getting in a car with a stranger who’s not part of a company they know and trust. and if you need a lift across the border — an uber mexico representative said uber passport, a service that allows cars in the u-s to take passengers to mexico is going to be implemented in the borderland at a later date. as for the cost — a taxi from downtown juarez to the airport is 10 dollars, an uber ride about 4-dollars and 25 cents. new game plans are forming for the 2 major party
