DMD helping to improve look of downtown El Paso
The Downtown Management District (DMD) is helping revitalize the look of shops downtown.
On Tuesday, the DMD Board of Directors approved $1,215 for a clothing store located on 300 E. Overland Ave. It’s all part of the Downtown Commercial Faade Improvement Grant program.
The program will match funds made by existing businesses or property owners to make improvements to the exterior of buildings. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available. Applicants can apply for up to $25,000 in reimbursement funding.
“The DMD will review every applicant of the faade improvement grant with the same importance. Every project big or small helps to elevate the look and feel of our downtown,” said Joe Gudenrath, Executive Director of the DMD.
Funding is currently available for additional grant applications. Property owners interested in improving the exterior of their building can call the DMD at (915) 400-2294 or e-mail TMais@elpasodmd.org
