Chihuahuas fall 13-5 at Colorado Springs Thursday night
COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Sky Sox beat the El Paso Chihuahuas for the second time in three gamesThursday, winning 13-5. El Paso led 4-0 at the end of one half inning, but trailed 9-4 by the end of the second inning. One start after tossing six innings without allowing an earned run, Chihuahuas’ starter Bryan Rodriguez was chased from the game after two inningsThursdaywith eight earned runs against him.
Carlos Asuaje went 3-for-5 in the loss to extend his hitting streak to nine games. Asuaje now has a league-leading 154 hits. Keith Hessler threw 3.1 scoreless innings, his longest outing of the year at any level. Patrick Kivlehan went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, advancing to 10-for-22 on the road trip.
Milwaukee Brewers’ outfielder Domingo Santana reached base five times against El Paso pitchingThursday, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, two walks and five RBIs.
