Former Horizon High student Misael Hernandez remembered

an act of kindness day. the special day was encouraged in the memory of former horizon high school student — misael hernandez. hernandez died in a drowning accident two years ago. abc-7’s jerry najera is live with the story … rick estela august 19th mark misael hernandez birthday. friends and family along with others called an act of kindness day to spread the kindess that hernandez was know for. with a week left before high school football begins horzon high school football players test their skills in a scrimmage band members have a cook out celebrating their last day of band camp. but on this day august 19th they also rember misael hernandez. hernandez died in 2014 after drowning in a lake during a church retreat, just two weeks after graduation. “he graduated number two in his class he gave his valedictorian speech at his graduation he’s one of the best students i’ve ever had” horizon high band director raul candelaria says hernadez’s goal was to make everyone happy “he would see someone that was having trouble he would take the initiative and go down there and talk to him” bandmates like vian olivo say they still rember hernandez own kindness. “i would always be one of the first ones’s here and he’s always have breakfast for everybody and id be the last one to go home and always made sure we had a ride and fit as many people as he could in his truck” other rios tell me hernandez was also a inspiration to many. “mis had a lot of dedication he was a really good guy and he would always put a hundred percent into everything” friends tell me they spread a little kindness in meory of hernandez themselves “i got myslef some coffee at mcdonalds this morning and paid for the two cars behind me” “i tried but when tried someone did it to me” i even caught this young gentleman giving his peice of cake to a young girl “like a songs says stay humble and help the person in line in front of you, that’s how he was” and it’s not to late you can still spread some kindness you have two hours horizon act of kindness day supporters say you can help take out someone’s trash or buy someone’s food or ice cream in memory of hernandez. some good news and bads news … i-10 isn’t
