City wants your input on bringing pub crawler vehicles to El Paso
Would you like to see pub crawler vehicles around El Paso? You have the chance to let the city know before an ordinance is amended.
A pub crawler looks like a trolley that is pedaled by passengers. The vehicles have an operator/driver, who is not allowed to drink, and an electric assist for hills. It also has a bar in the center from which alcohol can be served. Some are BYOB.
Some pub crawler vehicles can sit up to 15 people. Pub crawler vehicles are popular in larger cities, like Austin, Memphis, and Las Vegas.
During the August 9th city council meeting, police said direction was given to examine the potential for pub crawlers.
The City of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department are seeking input from the public before making changes on the ordinance.
There will be two public meetings this month.
– Monday, Sept. 12 from Noon to 2p.m. at the Armijo Library located at 620 E. San Antonio.
– Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at EPPD Headquarters located at 911 Raynor. It will be on the 2nd floor in the Large Conference Room.
