El Paso police investigating a shooting in north-central El Paso

El Paso police are investigating a shooting that happened around 6:45 a.m. Saturday near the Villa Sierra Apartments on the 2400 block of McKinley.

ABC-7 crews on the scene report that police were searching the area between McKinley and Dyer in northeast El Paso for the suspects who fled the scene after the shooting. Police had an area near the apartments closed off with crime scene tape.

Police tell ABC-7 at least one person was not seriously injured but taken to the hospital.
