27 charged with DWI over the weekend

The police department’s DWI Task Force reported 27 cases of DWI related offenses in a fifty-hour period.

The first arrest was made Friday, October 7 at 12:09 a.m. The latest arrest was made Monday morning at 2:16 a.m.

Two of the DWI cases were called to the attention of police by anonymous callers who provided the vehicle descriptions, location and direction of travel of the vehicle, police said.

Seven people were arrested Friday, six on Saturday, 10 on Sunday, and four on Monday morning:

DWI = 11 arrests DWI (2nd) = 3 arrests DWI (3rd) = one arrest DWI (BAC greater than .15) = 10 arrests Minor Detectable = 2
