Holloman Airman dies on base

The death of an aircraft maintenance specialist assigned to the 54th Fighter Group is under investigation.

Airman 1st Class Nathan Wilson-Ross died on base at approximately 9:45 a.m. on October 11, 2016, officials said.

No foul play is suspected. Officials would not say how Wilson-Ross died. The 21-year-old was from San Angelo, Texas, and is survived by his mother and a brother.

“This is a tragic event that reminds us how precious time can be,” said Col. James Keen, 54th Fighter Group commander, in a news release. “I encourage affected members of Team Holloman to reach out and support one another through this tragedy.”

Details regarding a memorial service will be released as soon as arrangements are made.
