Han ready to defend world title at Don Haskins Center

World Featherweight Champion, Jennifer Han of El Paso, will defend her IBF Crown against mandatory challenger Lilian Martinez, of the Dominican Republic, Saturday, October 15th.

The fight will at UTEP’s Don Haskins Center. It will be one of seven scheduled fights on a card that starts at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are already on sale and start at $25.

This will be Han’s second defense of her World Featherweight title. She last defended it successfully on April 29, 2016 at Southwestern University Ballpark, where she drew more than 5,000 fans.

“I really love fighting in El Paso, before my many fans, family and friends,” said Han, El Paso’s first and only World Boxing Champion. “To have an opportunity to come back and put on a show for all those who have supported me, has me very excited to be back in the ring. I had been dealing with a stress fracture in my hip over the Summer, but I’m 100% now and really excited to get back in the ring.”
