Firstlight Adds New Online Payment System & Debit Card Rewards Program
FirstLight Federal Credit Union, an El Paso/Las Cruces based financial institution for over sixty years, has introduced new online banking features for its members. Popmoney® lets FirstLight members make payments and transfer funds electronically to individuals or businesses from their mobile devices or computers. FirstLight Purchase Rewards lets members earn rewards just by using their FirstLight debit card to make purchases online or in-person.
“Online and mobile banking services are increasingly important to our members, and we’re meeting that demand,” said FirstLight President & CEO Karl Murphy. “Popmoney® lets members send money to their friends or family with only an email address, mobile phone number, or their account number. And FirstLight Purchase Rewards gives our members discounts and savings on the products and services that are tailored to them.” Murphy said that FirstLight is proud to offer these new services as part of the credit union’s commitment to continually introduce updates and improvements to their members.
With Popmoney® from FirstLight, members can effortlessly set up online payments directly from FirstLight’s online banking or mobile app. This allows members to pay anyone right away, and to deposit the funds directly into their account. FirstLight members can also conduct transfers between their accounts at various financial institutions using Popmoney’s® External Transfers solution. This provides greater convenience by allowing members to transfer funds online between various financial institutions without visiting a branch or writing a check.
FirstLight Purchase Rewards is available to all FirstLight debit cardholders at no cost and lets members receive offers specific to them based on how and where they shop. Members automatically accrue these rewards and can track the rewards they earn or redeem by accessing their FirstLight online banking account. There is no limit to the rewards members can earn and the more they use their FirstLight debit card, the more offers they can receive and the more rewards they can earn!
