Cooler temperatures on tap for Thursday and Friday

A cold front moved through the Borderland Thursday morning bringing windy and cooler weather.
Winds peaked around 40 to 50 mph, strongest wind gusts were along the western slopes. Tie down Halloween decorations, the winds will continue tonight. Use caution on the roadways, blowing dust may reduce the visibility to 3 miles over a few locations.

El Paso:

Today: Mostly sunny, windy. Highs in the lower 70s.
East winds 25 to 35 mph.

Tonight: Clear, lows in the mid 40s. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

Las Cruces:

Today: Mostly sunny, windy. Highs around 70. East
winds 20 to 30.

Tonight: Clear. Lows in the mid 40s. East winds 10 to 20 mph.
