Man missing for a year; police beginning to suspect foul play

The police department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit continues its search for 31-year old Ricardo Martinez, reported missing Friday, October 30, 2015.

Martinez left his home to go for a walk to nearby businesses on El Paso’s Eastside and was never heard from again, police said.

At the time, he was living at a foster home in the 12000 block of Picasso. Martinez suffers mental deficiencies that require medication, police added.

Martinez would often walk along Vista Del Sol and Zaragoza and would converse with employees at nearby businesses, police said.

Detectives suspect Martinez could have been the victim of foul play based on the amount of time he has been missing.

Anyone with information regarding Martinez is asked to call the El Paso Police Department at (915) 832-4400.

You may remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-8477 (TIPS).
