Thursday night high school football scoreboard
Thursday, October 20th:
El Dorado 32 Coronado 28 Final
El Dorado got off to a quick 6-0 start at Coronado on Thursday, only to find themselves trailing 14-6 late in the first half. But the Aztecs found a way, as they usually do, and were able to grind their way to a 32-28 win over the Thunderbirds. El Dorado quarterback Cedarious Barfield rushed for 226 yards on the evening including an 81-yard run to open the scoring.
Eastwood 56 Pebble Hills 34 Final
Eastwood’s offense carried the team to its fourth win of the season after posting 56 points at the SAC against Pebble Hills. But give credit to the Spartans as well, they hung around for much of the second half, not letting the game get too far away from them. Eastwood also kept its playoff hopes alive as they moved to 2-3 in district play with two regular season games remaining.
Chapin 55 Jefferson 13 Final
Chapin once again showed its might in dispatching Jefferson easily at Bowie on Thursday. The Huskies remain perfect on the season. Only Burges and Andress stand between the Huskies and a perfect regular season. Chapin will likely remain ranked in Region 1-5A in the coaches poll, set to be released early next week. They were ranked 8th in the entire region by Texas coaches. Canutillo was one spot behind them in the poll.
