Pence in Las Cruces: “History has taught us weakness arouses evil”

Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Mike Pence addressed supporters in Las Cruces Wednesday, saying the presidential election is about three key issues: national security, economic prosperity and appointing Supreme Court justices.

“History has taught us weakness arouses evil,” Pence said, saying Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have created a more dangerous world.

Pence said a Trump Administration will not pay ransoms to terrorist sponsoring states, citing the Obama Administration’s nuclear deal with Iran.

“We will restore the Arsenal of Democracy,” Pence said, “Hunt down and destroy ISIS so they can no longer threaten us or our allies.”

Pence also told supporters they are going to build a wall and end “catch and release.” The Indiana governor said “We’re going to have zero tolerance with criminal illegal aliens and we are going to remove criminal illegal aliens.”

Pence said Trump is willing to fight for what he believes. “His brand of leadership won the debates and his vision of making America great is going to win the debate all the way to the White House.”

The vice presidential nominee said the fight has not been fair, accusing the media of doing “half of Hillary’s work for her everyday.”

Pence reminded supporters, “The race is on! We are leading in several national polls and it’s all tied up here in New Mexico.”

Americans have a choice between two futures, Pence said, “I choose a stronger, more prosperous America, an America that stands without apology on our highest constitutional principles.”

The crowd chanted “Lock her up, Lock Her up” when Pence paused. “Here in America, no one is above the law,” Pence told supporters, “We must ensure Hillary Clinton is never elected president of the United States of America.”

If elected, Trump plans to pass an ethics reform bill during its first 100 days in office. “We are going to drain the swamp in Washington D.C.,” Pence said.

The plan is to repeal Obamacare and let the “power of the American free market help lower cost of insurance,” Pence said.

When it comes to the Supreme Court, Pence reminded supporters the next president will appoint new justices and “set the course of the Supreme Court for the next 40 years.”

The Republican Vice Presidential Nominee’s visit comes less then a week before Election Day.

Before the doors opened, Trump supporters lined up outside. Standing across from them, a small group holding “love trumps hate” signs.

Trump supporters began chanting “U.S.A. ” and “Build a wall!”

The other group spoke on a megaphone asking for love not hate. A shouting match between the two groups ensued. Trump supporters said they weren’t being hateful, just passionate. The other group, said they were saddened and hurt.
