LC Man accused of sexually assaulting two relatives

District Attorney Mark D’Antonio Monday announced a grand jury indicted a Las Cruces man accused of sexually assaulting two relatives.

Juan Villalobos-Diaz, 45, is charged with 13 felonies including four counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor.

According to investigators, the defendant sexually assaulted the victims multiple times between March 2004 and October 2016.

Investigators also suspect the defendant of shooting his relatives with a BB gun.

The defendant remains in custody at the Doña Ana County Detention Center. His bond is set at $50,000.

If convicted as charged, he faces significant time in prison and would have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
