City still trying to reach some property owners at arena site
The City of El Paso reports that it’s having trouble reaching certain property owners within the proposed footprint of the downtown arena.
The city wants to acquire 21 properties, but says they are having a difficult time reaching the owners of seven of them. So far, city staffers say they have tried reaching them by mail and by phone. We are told that one of the owners lives in California, and another in New Mexico.
The city will set up a mobile site at 400 W. San Antonio where city staff can reach out to business owners and residents living within the proposed arena footprint. The site will be open from 8 am. to 6 pm. Wednesday and Thursday.
