EPISD proposes changes to start of school day

EPISD is proposing big changes to the start of your child’s school day.

Elementary students current begin first period 8:15am. That could change to 7:30am.

Middle school students currently start the day at 7:50am but that could be pushed back to 8:10am.

Melissa Martinez , EPISD Spokeswoman, tells ABC-7, “Changing, even just for five to ten minutes, allows us to build in a little bit more travel time for the bus routes.”

ABC-7 will follow the proposal and let you know if your child needs to adjust his or her schedule.
