One man is behind bars after a SWAT situation in west El Paso Sunday evening.

The standoff happened on the 400 block of Granada around 6 pm. Police tell ABC-7 it started as a family violence call. Police say it escalated into a SWAT standoff after the suspect held his wife at gunpoint against her will. The standoff was over by 10 pm.

The suspect is identified at 64-year-old Mitchell Webb. He is now charged with aggravated assault, one count of unlawful restraint and one count of interfering with an emergency call.

Authorities say no major injuries were reported, however Webb’s wife suffered a cut to her arm.
