EPPD make 6 DWI arrests in 3 hours Thursday morning

Police officers made six DWI arrests in between 1 and 4 am Thursday, police said.

One of the arrests involved an alleged drunk driver with a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit.

A seventh case involved a minor with “detectable traces of alcohol,” police said.

The arrests were made on the 3600 block of Gateway; at the intersection of Monterrey and N. Yarbrough; on the 7600 block of North Loop; on the 400 block of Pendale; on the 11000 block of Montwood; on I-10
at Mile Marker 19; and at the intersection of Hawkins and Viscount.

Police have not released the mug shots of the alleged drunk drivers.
