Early voting deadline is Tuesday in city’s general election

Tuesday is the last day to vote early in El Paso’s general election.

ABC 7 has been keeping a close eye on the results, and thus far just under 11,000 people have cast an early ballot.

That is a 24 percent decrease in early voter turnout when compared to 2013.

This year’s offices up for election are the mayor, city representatives in districts 2, 3, 4 and 7, El Paso Municipal Court judges for courts 1 through 5 and a judge for The Municipal Court of Appeals.

The election costs taxpayers roughly $180,000, and just over $55,500 of bill is associated with early voting.

Exercising your civic duty allows your vote to have your voice.
