Chase involving ambulance ends in East El Paso

A police chase involving a stolen ambulance came to an end late Monday night in East El Paso.

El Paso police said around 9:45 p.m. a man took an ambulance from Providence Hospital ER, and fled to Northeast El Paso driving in and out of New Mexico.

The pursuit stopped near Bob Hope and Pellicano drives.

State Troopers, El Paso Police officers and El Paso Fire crews were at the scene.

The ABC-7 ‘Round the Clock crew spotted the El Paso Fire Department ambulance with a deflated front right tire.

El Paso Police said the man faces unauthorized use of motor vehicle and evading arrest charges.
