Innocent bystander grazed by bullet during fight outside Far East bar

A fight outside a bar in Far East El Paso escalated into a shooting that left a man wounded, police said.

At about 1:30 am Wednesday, police officers responded to a shots fired call in the parking lot at 1441 N. Zaragoza .

Police say two groups got into a fight and one of the suspects involved fired a gun.

The victim, an innocent bystander, was grazed in the head by a round. The 37-year-old man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The El Paso Police Department’s Gang Unit is investigating.

There have been no arrests in this case and anybody with information is asked to call the El Paso Police at (915) 832-4400.
