UPDATE: Power restored to thousands in Far East El Paso

El Paso Electric reported that around 6,343 customers in Far East El Paso were without power Monday night.

At around 10:47 p.m. they said a crash near Pebble Hills Boulevard and Mike Price caused the outage.

Just after 5 a.m. an El Paso Electric spokeswoman told ABC-7 power had been restored to 6, 343 customers in Far East El Paso.

Around 160 customers in West El Paso are still without power. Crews are working to restore service, and find out why the outage occurred.
