Payless to close four more El Paso stores

Payless Shoe Source has announced another round of store closures nationwide, including five new closures in El Paso and Alamogordo.

The following locations are set to close, according to the shoe retailer’s website:

500 S. El Paso St. 7845 N. Mesa St. Las Palmas Marketplace at 11917 Gateway blvd West Sunland Plaza store at 725 Sunland Park Dr.

The retailer recently filed filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Earlier this year, Payless closed stores inside Cielo Vista Mall and Sunland Park Mall in addition to its locations at 119 S. Stanton and 1900 N. Lee Trevino. The store inside the White Sands Mall in Alamogordo, New Mexico also closed.

The company has not announced any closures in Las Cruces.
