Hot and very dry across the Borderland for the rest of the week

Hot, hot, hot, and very dry across the Borderland for the rest of the week.

Heat-induced health concerns will be elevated for people, pets, and livestock through at least Saturday. High pressure, lighter winds, and plenty of sunshine will help to warm temperatures above 100 degrees each afternoon across the lowlands.

Sunday and early next week easterly winds bring some moisture back into the region. This will bring a slight risk of mainly isolated showers and thunderstorms, mostly limited to area mountains, for Sunday through mid-week. However, it will remain quite warm with most locations remaining dry.
