Those attending Downtown Street Fest will be able to cool down inside convention center

Those who “brave the heat” while attending this year’s El Paso Downtown Street Fest will be able to cool down inside the convention center.

Brad Dubow, Market President for Townsquare Media of El Paso, says there will be an auto show at the convention center during the festival.

“One of the things we know that we have is the Convention Center’s going to be open with that massive car show, so if anyone is too hot, they should come on in and check out that show,” Dubow says.

Access to the convention center is included in the purchase of a Street Fest ticket, ensuring everyone in attendance has the option to cool down as they please.

Water bottles will be sold all around the footprint of Street Fest as well and the Convention Center has water fountains available for use.

Gates open at 6 p.m. on both Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, closing each night at 1 a.m.

Dubow says the setting sun should offer a bit of relief, in addition to provisions the festival has in place.

“We’ve been seeing throughout the summer the evenings have been really nice, and so we’re looking forward to great evenings and hopefully, a wonderful event,” Dubow says.

Tickets to the festival are available on Ticketmaster and at physical locations in El Paso listed on the Downtown Street Fest website.

And El Pasoans should plan to have enjoy the festival, Dubow says.

“This is El Paso’s party so El Pasoans – brave the heat, brave what’s coming out, and have a great time.”
