EPFD to host free health clinic

The El Paso Fire Department will host a free clinic with healthy brunch this Saturday to close out the flu season.

Families without health insurance, who have low-income, or who have Medicaid are welcome to attend.

It’s a partnership with the El Paso Health Department’s Medicaid Waiver Program.

You can get a free flu shot, have your blood pressure and your sugar levels checked.

Patients over 50 can also have their colon checked and patients over 65 can get a complimentary pneumonia vaccine.

The first 100 patients will be given a fire-extinguisher or a carbon monoxide alarm.

Eligible families will also receive a free voucher for breast and cervical screenings, plus vaccines for their children.

Sparky the Dalmatian will also be there to offer safety tips.

The clinic will be this Saturday June 24 from 8 to 11 a.m. at 5415 Trowbridge Dr.
