Local Father and Son Travel to See the Total Solar Eclipse

A father and son from El Paso are traveling nearly a thousand miles to see the total solar eclipse. Eric Sides and his nine year old son, Gregory, are casual stargazers. Their home in Anthony, TX sits on top of a hill and provides an amazing view with pristine skies. On some nights they can see other planets and even shooting stars.

Their passion for astronomy is so great they will be traveling across three states to Salem, Nebraska to see the total eclipse. Eric still remembers his first eclipse in the 70’s and knows this one will be just as memorable for his son.
