One more day of scattered storms, drier weekend
Showers and thunderstorms moved northeast across portions of the borderland. The showers moved toward Las Cruces, Santa Teresa and west El Paso.Vado, White Sands Missle Range and Alamogordo also received rain overnight. Thunderstorms produced minor flooding in some areas with wind gusts around 30 mph. Moist unstable air will continue to track into the borderland today–this will result in more showers and thunderstorms. Warm mostly dry weather is expected Friday, just in time for Friday night football, Chalk the Block and UTEP homecoming festivities. A cold front will cause slightly cooler temperatures on Tuesday with a few showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday.
