28 pounds of meth seized at Paso Del Norte bridge

Customs and Border Protection agents seized more than 28 pounds of methamphetamine Friday at an El Paso Port of Entry.

The seizure was made a little after 8am at the Paso Del Norte bridge when a Jeep Liberty driven by a woman entered the port of entry from Mexico.

Officers noticed the driver was noticeably nervous and selected her vehicle for a secondary inspection.

A Customs and Border Protection drug sniffing dog named “Atoss” searched the Jeep and alerted to possible narcotics in the roof of the vehicle

Officers removed four drug filled bundles from the hidden compartment.

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $681,600.
