West El Paso Car Burglar Arrested
Police arrested and charged 27-year old Edgar Alaniz with Burglary of a Vehicle (BOV) and Possession of Marijuana after an early morning call on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017.
Officers responded to a prowler checking door handles at an apartment complex located at 7227 N. Mesa. Westside officers found Alaniz as he was exiting a vehicle that was not his.
Further investigation revealed that he had taken items out of an unlocked vehicle and was in possession of marijuana.
Investigators were able to identify Alaniz as the person responsible for a BOV that occurred in the apartment complex at 7133 N. Mesa in August of 2017. Alaniz has been booked on two counts of Burglary of Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana on bonds totaling $10,000.00.
