Couple arrested on drug charges after police pursuit in West El Paso

Police officers arrested a man and a woman allegedly in possession of cocaine, marijuana and Tetrahydrocannabinol.

20-year-old Alexis Flores and 20-year-old Vanessa Hernandez are each charged with two counts of “manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance” and a single count of “possession of marijuana.”

Police said officers with the Westside Tactical Unit and U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force located Flores in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn at 7530 Remcon.

Flores allegedly fled from officers and was caught after a brief foot pursuit. Hernandez was arrested during the investigation, police said.

Flores was additionally charged with fraud, theft and evading arrest. He was jailed without bond.
