Pebble Hills High employee placed on leave, district investigating inappropriate conduct allegations

The Socorro Independent School District has placed an employee at Pebble Hills High School on leave while it investigations allegations of inappropriate conduct.

In phone message sent to parents, principal Melissa Parham said the district “takes every allegation very seriously and immediately initiated an investigation. The safety and security of our students is our number one priority.”

Parham’s message states the employee named in the allegation was promptly placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the district’s investigation.

“Information surrounding the allegation is being investigated by all appropriate authorities,” Parham said, “Due to confidentiality laws, this is all the information we are able to share at this time.”

The school district did not identify the employee. It did not clarify whether the employee is a teacher, an administrator or a member of the school’s staff.

The district also did not disclose who made the allegations against the teacher.
