NMSU tops Idaho 17-10; Aggies one win away from bowl eligibility

One more win is all the NMSU Aggies need in order to be bowl eligible.

Saturday at Aggie Memorial Stadium, NMSU got its 5th win of the season after beating the Idaho Vandals by a final of 17-10.

Six wins are needed in order to be invited to a bowl game.

NMSU had to find a way to win without their star quarterback Tyler Rogers.

Rogers injured his shoulder last week in the loss to Louisiana Lafayette.

The Aggies relied on running back Larry Rose III who ended the day with 100 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.

NMSU backup quarterback Nick Jeanty was able to move the ball downfield as well throwing for 231 yards, 0 touchdowns and just one interception.

The NMSU defense also stepped up recording a school record 11 sacks.

It will be do-or-die next week as the Aggies wrap up their season at home against South Alabama.

The Jaguars are 4-7 this season

If the Aggies are able to get the win and are invited to a bowl invite, it will be the first time NMSU has been invited to a bowl game since 1960.
